That's kinda vague, try describing it more.

There's tons of barriers in the mind, created by society. There is also major inhibition around accessing intuition, along with the immensely powerful right hemisphere.

I'm sorry my first explanation of this was so vague; it's very difficult to describe. I would say that I have a strange, almost "Pressure-like" sensation around my head, but it's nothing medical related. It's like there's a block around my mind that is preventing me from doing something or knowing something; that's the impression I'm getting. I keep wondering if I'm about to "Wake-up" or something.

I probably sound like a typical nut-job, but I'm curious to see how many people have had the same experience.

Do you meditate? It sounds like an opening of the third eye. If you don't meditate I would recommend you start as you might have some fun trips up ahead!

It's strange that you've mentioned that. My dreams always used to be extremely vivid and lucid, but now their fragmented. It's like something is keeping me from doing anything remotely spiritual or psychic and yes, I know how weird that sounds.

Now, keep in mind, my family has no history of mental illnesses and I'm not taking any form of medication or anything. Humans only use ten percent of their brain and I feel like I'm on the verge of unlocking something. It's very difficult to explain, so have any of you had this same experience or am I just cracked in the head? Any information, experiences, and possible explanations is welcome.

Greetings! Happy to help you. I know exactly what you are talking about. We all "live" in our left brain.
Left Brain:
Logical thoughts
Sequential thinking
Rational thoughts
Analytical thinking process
Objective thinking
Looks at parts instead of the whole

Right Brain:
Random thoughts
Intuitive thinking
Holistic thoughts (Empathy, Sympathy)
Synthesizing or putting together thought processes
Subjective thinking
Looks at wholes instead of the parts therein

Right Brain and Left Brain Inventory An inventory of the different ways the right brain and left brain process information

During meditation, empty your mind, and slowly go over to the right side of your Brain. You will actually feel your conciseness drift over there, leaving the Left Brain. There, nice, quiet, and peaceful here, right? Practice this for several days, so that any time you are in a quiet place you can easily go to the right side. You will find that things go better, work better, and your thought processes are more multi-dimensional instead of linear. Now for the final stop in using more of your brain.

Relax and go into deep mediation. Go to the right, then back to the left, then back to the right, back and forth until you build up some energy and are clearly using both sides together.....then just do a memory "dump" into the back of your brain. The first time you do this, do not expect a great awakening, as with anything, practice makes for perfection. As you move along, doing this every few days, you will find that the "dump" is going farther and farther back deep into your brain, using parts that have been dormant for all of your life. You will find that many things, many information sources just come to you. You "remember" things that you never learned how to do, never went to school, but know everything about it automatically. Shortly after practicing this myself, I was laying in bed one night, trying to work out a computer problem I was having, and said to myself, "I wish I knew everything about computers." Suddenly i was in another place, most likely another dimension. I was in a "classroom," sitting at a desk, and in front were three beings, all humanoid, and all shrouded so that I could only see their shape, but not their appearance. As I sat there, they would step forward, one at a time, and place information directly into my head at a fantastic rate. I could "feel" the info going in. Then that one would step back, and another would step forward, and do the same. This lasted for some time. The next day I easily fixed my problem, and realized that there was not much I didn't know about my computer. I repair them now, and configure software. The knowledge is in there, waiting for me to need it. I get some really neat ideas.

Yo may not experience the same effects as I did, but you will experience something. I guarantee it. Good luck to you, friend.

I feel the same way right now. Its like nothing i do is fulfilling. I cant relate to people or lead a "normal" life untill i get past whatever it is. Ive been to see a councellor about the issues ive had as a result of this and he said im having a crisis of confidence. I dont know what he meant by this but confidence does'nt come in to it. I feel as though theres something i should be looking a little deeper in to so i can progress, but i dont know what it is.

Needless to say my heads battered and i'll just have to keep looking untill i find it. Good luck with your quest to get past it.

Yeah, I feel the same way. Most of my so-called "Friends" ignore me and I can't really connect with anyone anymore because they're very ignorant and lead mundane lives. There's nothing wrong with that, if it makes you happy, but it frustrates me to no end. It never used to annoy to this extent and it's also kinda the reason why I'm on the website in the first place; the people I (Dis)associate with make you guys look like Carl Sagan!

There should be a lot more to life than what we are currently experiencing, and although I've had more than a few bizarre occurrences, it's not enough. Even I'm only a fifteen year-old maniac currently destined to survive the perils of highschool, I know that excitement is only reserved for the minority of the population. And, even then, it seems so fake.

If you find the answers you've been searching for, please post about them. Or better yet, maybe shouldn't. Maybe truth is something we have to figure out for ourselves.

Thanks. I have no choice but to keep searching because i cant move on untill i find out what its is. Your not a maniac, your just at a weird place right now. A cross roads and you dont know which way to turn. You just have to watch in case you drive your self mad. Meditation is one thing that seems to keep popping up along the way. Ive tried this aproach but i find it hard to switch off enough to get any benefit out of it. I probably just need to practice it a bit more or something, but it might be a good start point if you have'nt already tried it. It does relax you a bit if nothing else. I wish there was more i could say but im just as lost as you. Its really frustrating but i cant help but feel that somewhere in the future something will give and find what i've been searching for. I just hope the experience is worth it and im not left saying to myself "was that it" lol.

If you're having trouble meditating and "Switching-off" you should try listening to binaural beats. They're basically electronically engineered loops that can alter you state of consciousness. Depending on the audio, they can induce lucid dreams, astral projection and hell, even adrenaline rushes. They don't work for everyone and you may need to wait for some substantial results. But, they do SOMETHING for me, which is definitely great.

www.youtube.com...
(Check this one out and see if you like it. It's an odd experience, that much I will say)

Despite how all of that can make me zone-out, I still feel like something is missing. If you ask me, something major is going to happen soon in this world and not just in my life. I'm not the only one who thinks that. A lot of people seem to be on edge as if they're anticipating something. Good or bad, I hope it's at least interesting, ya know?

Thanks

Ive already got one on my i pod as it go's. When i first started looking in to buddhism and the road to enlightenment someone recomended using them. Im glad you mentioned it though because id totaly forgot i had it. Maybe it will help me detach. The deepest ive got in to meditation is seeing a light appear. aparently that was my inner flame or someone said it was my third eye opening. Ive never managed to get to that point since. Im too easily distracted or i just cant focus. The next time i try i'll use the binaural beat and see if it helps.

You sound like you meditate quite a bit. Have you gained anything from doing it? I often get the feeling that what im looking for might go beyond this world or existance. I just need to tune in to it or something. I also get the feeling that some kind of change is on the way but i dont know whether its something global, universal or just personal. The sad thing is i get the impresion that its not something good. That could just be me being paranoid though.
