besides, lock up the bugs, and they'll just riot and be given free reign..

Here is a link to a picture of the man who was injured...

Moral of the story - Avoid dead bugs on ground when riding a bike. A local solicitor commented that it would be hard to sue the local council as it was an act of God!

As a matter of interest there has been plagues of other insects all down the east coast and in Adelaide.

Well it's not just the fauna here that's out to cause us grief. There's been a good number of accidents involving cars as well as bikes caused by Jacaranda petals all over the roads which make a very attractive purple carpet (postcard stuff) but like banana skins if you try to stop or turn on them.
