Documents obtained by The Daily Beast reveal how pedophile hedge fund mogul Jeffrey Epstein escaped a hefty jail sentence despite overwhelming evidence of sex crimes with dozens of young girls. Conchita Sarnoff and Lee Aitken on how the fear and intimidation experienced by victims during pre-trial proceedings, combined with a ferocious, protracted campaign to undermine the prosecution, culminated in a set of charges that became a virtual slap on the wrist.

Some of the most shocking allegations against Epstein surfaced only after the conclusion of an FBI probe, in civil suits brought by his victims: for example, the claim that three 12-year-old French girls were delivered to him as a birthday present. But the feds did identify roughly 40 young women, most of them underage at the time, who described being lured to Epstein’s Palm Beach home on the pretense of giving a “massage” for money, then pressured into various sex acts, as well as the “Balkan sex slave” Epstein allegedly boasted of purchasing from her family when she was just 14. More recently, a big cash payment from Mail on Sunday coaxed one of Epstein’s main accusers out of anonymity to describe what she claims were her years as a teenage sex toy. This victim, Virginia Roberts, produced a photo of herself with Prince Andrew in 2001 and reported that Epstein paid her $15,000 to meet the prince. Then 17 years old, she claims that she was abused by Epstein and “loaned” to his friends from the age of 15.

And even his 13 months sentence was nothing :

Sex crimes of the kind Roberts alleges took place typically carry a term of 10 to 20 years in federal prison. Yet when all was said and done, Epstein served his scant year-plus-one-month in a private wing of the Palm Beach jail and was granted a 16-hour-per-day free pass to leave the premises for work.

This is one of the sickest travesty of justice I've seen. Put that SOB in general population for the rest of his life.

Not to mention, all he owns confiscated and given to help the victims or rape and sexual abuse.

Not even 13 months, more like 120 days thanks to this "free pass."

Not only does he deserve to be locked up for the rest of his life, so does the judge, the DA, and anybody else that was paid off to let him off easy.

if these are true and the sentence handed down is correct, then i am absolutely disgusted of the so called justice system in this country. one for those who are rich and powerful, and one for us. this slime gets 13 months when he should be castrated and spend the rest of his life in prison. paris, gets probation for carrying coc aine on her, while she was already on probation. the list can go on and on! damn!

just read that his butler got 18 months for trying to sell a frickin journal of epstein's that cataloged all of these exploits! the butler got a longer sentence!!!!!

That's just sick. I hope he gets shot and killed soon.

These situations are why vigilante justice exists- because we know that some people get to skirt the law just because they are who they are. I can't wait for the revolution.

Well, here is the lesson : if you are rich, have powerful friends and no moral values - ju$tice i$ $erved the way you like it. Sad world. I always thought that jury system and free press gave some kind of protection against it but apparently it is ex$tremely limited one.
Society still has equivalents of kings,princes,courts,lords and peasants. Roles are not that apparent and life is more comfortable but equality is a joke. 13 months? With those conditions?

And yet, somebody smoking a joint could get 20+ years in a maximum security prison.

what they should do or have done, is put him into a citizen public prison...see how long he lasts in thier, when word starts to circualte what he did to those kids and having them delivered...i really hope he gets caught n tried again.
you know what the sad thing is? sounds like he has some guys with machine guns or sokmething outside to guard him. kinda bilderbergish isnt it? it would take another investigation mostliekly, and in the meantime, more kids wilbe escorted in and defiled in the process. better to just sniper him. his goons dont like it..same as them.

This is how our (in)justice system fails us horribly. The jury did the right thing and returned a guilty verdict. The TOTAL SCUM BAG judge who is almost as bad as this pedoperv billionaire piece of human garbage failed us by giving him this ludicrous sentence.
