14 year old Boy shoot 5 times in the chest in Execution attempt by the Brazilian police

Incredible story and video
but it all finish well at the end !!
the 14 yrs old boy have fully recovered
and for once ..police officers will NOT be above the law

Weapon & health experts needed :
What are the chances to survive 5 shots to the chest?

(CBS/Reuters) A Brazilian court ordered the arrest of police officers who were filmed torturing and shooting a 14-year-old boy in August of last year.

The security camera video - released for the first time this week - showed four police officers firing a gun at the boy during a raid in a poor district of the Amazon city of Manaus.

The boy, who was shot five times in More..the chest area, was hospitalized and has recovered fully.

Three other policemen who do not appear in the footage were also arrested while the investigation is being carried out.

They claim to have fired against the boy in self-defense after they found a gun near him.

The seven officers will remain in prison until the end of the investigation. The boy and his family were included in a program that protects crime victims and witnesses.

The sad part is .. i have heard so many stories of american police officers
shooting someone innocent and they dont even have a slap in the head
the feds have make laws like this .. so it can become more legal by police to shoot anyone
without having to worry about consequence

Im sure they have hired criminal to fill the rank of police
some police officers have a longers list of innocent people killed than real criminal in prison :S

Some court should respect that they are not above the law of any police officers

Not sure what they use there, but most police would use a 9mm of some sort, maybe a glock? (I don't care if that is spelled correctly.)

Surprisingly, you can survive a bunch of hits to the chest IF....

the manage to miss vital arteries, the heart, and the spine and as long as medical assistance is provided quickly (before you bleed out) most ERs could sew you up pretty nicely.

The chest cavity is mostly empty space, lungs, heart. Stomach is a kill shot as you'll probably burst some organs and release dangerous stuff through out the body.

i'm amazed at this video, you can't tell exactly how many shots hit, but at least 3 from what I saw were close range direct hits, and the kid is still on his feet! 5 shots or more and they walk the kid away, that's freaking amazing.

This is sickening, but this is what they do in the slums of brazi.

i was there in sao paulo a few years ago and we heard stories about how the police brought and shot the homeless kids in the mountains

I understand your frustration but I believe his first language is not English. If it is, I agree. If it isn't, a little patience is cool.

On another note...

I have my doubts that these are actual bullets used. I don't know what happened but he is walking away at the end and not clutching his mid section as he probably should be. Something not right with this vid.

I've looked through all the Brazilian sources I could find and I found nothing that confirms it was rubber bullets.

I remember this. It was in the late 80's if memory serves.
I heard it was in Rio & they were finding those homeless
kids shot execution style in alleys almost daily. Nobody knew
who was doing it, then turns out it was the Rio Police.

we would be unable to find a similar story that he survive
especially a skiny 14 yrs kid
I dont see many place in the chest that are safe to receive a shot and not die ...
just imagine the internal damages of receiving 5 shot at close range

I would like to see this kind of miracle all the time after a brutal attack
