Ah, yes. Truth is I'm quite fond of this thread since it was from here that the whole idea of starting a forum for The Book of Aquarius came about. Otherwise I would have just released the book and kept silent, which was of course why I didn't admit to being the author in the opening post.

I looked on the Book of Aquarius Forum and I must say, I believe there is a problem with the method outlined.

The pictures taken indicate that certain members are allowing their Great Work to be exposed to sunlight.
I was under the impression that sunlight must never reach the Stone while it is being processed. Maybe this is why it is taking 3-4 years, instead of the 1 year process.

This "only moonlight" approach makes sense because it is not only backed by alchemical texts, but by personal experience. Any musician, artist, or other Creator will tell you that energy flows best at night. This is probably due to some kind of symbiotic relationship that Earth has with its moon, which would be reflected in the Stone because it is harnessing energy on this planet.

Have you heard/read similar?

No, I keep my reading of loony bin texts to a minimum (none). But I do sincerely hope that in your next 3-20 years that your great effort to make the Stone provides you with joy, happiness and comfort.

The answer is: I have never read an alchemical text that suggests the Stone must be made out of the sunlight. And that is why I don't say to keep it out of the sunlight. If it were mentioned in the genuine alchemical literature, I would have read it, and I would have included it.

Also it would make no sense for sunlight to be detrimental, seeing as we are imitating natural processes, and sunlight is natural.

In fact, I would have to question any supposed source claiming that sunlight is detrimental. The only possible connection to Nature I can see is that minerals generally form underground, where the sunlight does not reach. But seeing as we know that crystals can be grown in sunlight just as well as in the dark, it does not seem as if the sunlight is a problem from either a practical or a theoretical perspective.

I've decided to officially make "Frankie" here the resident troll mascot of the thread.

Troll Mascot Roles:
1. Reject everything by quoting it and then saying "no" or "lie".
2. Attempt to drown any reasonable debate by posting several posts in a row full of nonsense.

It is quite entertaining, starts just a few pages back, last 3 weeks or so.

The people who usually get upset are those who are already into alchemy and are somehow personally offended that my interpretation, based off the original sources, disagrees with their interpretation from modern sources. Frankie is the first person who doesn't have a clue what this is all about, yet still feels he must destroy it. Most people who are uninterested in alchemy simply don't comment.

It can't be a personal issue, since as this alias I don't exist beyond discussion of The Book of Aquarius. I am also interested in the psychology behind this rather strange personal attack on an anonymous personality. But if you look up a bit of history on Frankie here, it seems to be a signature of his. We all have to have our hobbies I suppose. Mine is alchemy, Frankie's is trolling; it's like a match made in heaven!

I enjoy Frank's post, I am a member of The Book Of Aquarius forum too. This forum allows people to discredit "Author" where and when it is appropriate. Kudos ATS.

In the Author's forum, threads get shut down or you get tossed off at the very mention of a direct question that might remotely contradict the "Author".

Are there other people who are getting this upset or is this really a personal issue? I haven't read the whole thread yet but I think I have to now, if the last pages are any indication of the entertainment value here I better get some munchies..

I don't think it takes 'gumption' to argue with someone online, is that what your getting at? I understand a definition of it can be attributed to aggressiveness but in my mind arguing online just takes initiative, a keyboard and some spare time. Maybe it's a form of gumption IDK, but If this person was willing to give their life to state it's point, that would take real gumption.


Either way, angry people amuse and make me happy for some un-explainable reason.

I have often tried to get to the bottom of this problem but I know that natural disasters with little to no casulties disappoint me.

I try to live my life respectfully but that the same time there is an inner beast I think in all of us. Maybe that's the Yin and the Yang. IDK it's a horrible way to think but, it is what it is.
