See, it has happened. The US is handing over Libyan operations to NATO. Now you [SNIP] who said this and that have now been defeated and disproven.

Libya: Stalemate looms, warns Admiral Mike Mullen

The most senior US soldier, Adm Mike Mullen, has said the war in Libya is "moving towards stalemate", even though US and Nato air strikes have destroyed 30-40% of Libya's ground forces. The US has authorised the use of armed, unmanned Predator drones over Libya to give "precision capabilities".

The United States and Britain have inserted covert intelligence agents into Libya to make contact with rebels and to gather data to guide coalition air strikes, a report said.
The White House refused to comment on the apparent shadow war in Libya, and also declined to discuss another report that President Barack Obama had signed a secret order allowing Central Intelligence Agency operations in the country.
The New York Times said the CIA had inserted clandestine agents into Libya to gather data for airstrikes and establish links with rebels, who Wednesday lost a swathe of captured territory to Kadhafi loyalists.

Mitt Romney rips Barack Obama on Libyan 'mission creep'

Mitt Romney slammed President Obama's actions in Libya on Thursday, warning that the American forces there are experiencing "mission creep" that goes beyond what the president initially supported.
"It is apparent that our military is engaged in much more than enforcing a no-fly zone," Romney said in a post on the National Review's website. "What we are watching in real time is another example of mission creep and mission muddle."

The President may deny that it is a "war" but Americans have been firing weapons at Libyan soldiers and at civilians who support the Gaddafi regime. Armed drones have been sent to fire on Libyans. The President may play semantic games but, we're at war in Libya and we are there without the constitutionally-required authorization by Congress.

And of course, this is only one month later, we're already in a quagmire...Oops I meant stalemate.
