Today I was thinking about all of the blatant lies that the government has told over time, and I realized we aren't doing anything about it. These
are the people that we chose to represent us, and they lie to us constantly! Not only do they lie to us, but they completely show no regard for the
paper that basically founded this nation. There are many examples, so let's look at some of the most recent lies and unconstitutional acts that the
government has been behind:
9/11- Face it guys, whether or not you want to accept it, there is irrefutable evidence that not only did the towers not fall on their own, but
that the official story is completely flawed. This isn't a 9/11 thread so I won't go into detail, but the documentary "Loose Change" sums it all
up nicely.
Patriot Act- Completely unconstitutional act that is in direct violation of the Fourth Amendment. It's a pretty clear cut amendment, but they
managed to forget all about it I guess, even though it kind of is their job to follow the constitution. But hey it's justified, those terrorists that
didn't perpetrate 9/11 need to be stopped by punishing citizens by means of invading their privacy.
Obama Health Care- Another bill that violates the constitution, forcing us to pay for something that not all of us want to pay into. Is that
socialism or communism? I always mix the two up, but regardless, it's still unconstitutional.
Federal Government Raiding Cannabis Dispensaries- The 10th amendment says that the states have individual freedom and power, not the federal
government as a whole. There are I believe 14 states that have legalized medical marijuana, so the states have the right to regulate and distribute
cannabis legally. But I guess the federal government one day said "F the constitution, let's do what we want when we want, nobody even knows what
the constitution is nowadays", and decided to raid a few dispensaries, possibly bankrupting several Americans who are obeying the state law.
UFO Cover-Ups- Roswell, Battle of LA, Phoenix Lights, there are several examples of this. True, not every single light in the sky is definitive
proof that there are intelligent aliens watching us, but there are those certain cases that have several credible witnesses, and a decent amount of
evidence that should at least have you scratching your head. What is the government's response on these matters? "Weather balloon, swamp gas, Venus
in the sky, aviation lights".
Cures for Diseases- I remember a thread a while back called "Cancer is Dead- Cures from A to Z", and there were literally HUNDREDS of
remedies that kill cancerous cells! Every letter had like 6 different cures, almost all of them being completely organic and natural, that have been
shown to kill cancerous cells. Why is this not the biggest story of the century? Oh yeah I forgot, Charlie Sheen smokes crack, he's more important
that saving millions of lives. Also, there's unimaginable profit to be made from diseases, I can't forget that. Sure, eating some acai berries or
whatever might not get rid of your cancer just like that, but why are the foundations that take millions of dollars worth of donations not working to
pursue a cure in one of these hundreds of potential cures? Where exactly is all of that money going to, research to create an even more addicting,
expensive therapy that makes the medicine industry more money?
The Facts About Cannabis- I know, I know, enough about cannabis, right? Well the lies and government backed propaganda cannot be forgotten so
soon. Do you guys remember Reefer Madness? President's lying about the dangers of cannabis to get it illegal? Government studies that lied to the
public? Because I sure do, and I'm not going to forget it until the day I die.
TSA Body Scanners/Searches- We allow strangers to touch nearly every inch of our body and file naked pictures of us, all in the name of safety,
right? How many bombs have been discovered strapped to a terrorists gooch because of these pat-downs? How many box-cutters have been found near a mans
genitals because of these pat-downs? At least one? (Not a rhetorical question, seriously I don't know) I haven't heard a single story about how any
lives were saved because of these pat-downs, so I'm assuming we haven't stopped anything because of these. I might be wrong, but until I hear about
an event where lives were saved because of these pat-downs and body scanners, I will think of them as an unnecessary measure.
That's all I got for now, but there are MANY other examples of times when the US government either lied to the public or acted unconstitutionally
against them. Please post as many examples as you can think of.
Now where does that leave us? What are we going to do, keep letting the occasional lie slip, forget about the occasional unconstitutional government
action, and just go on with out lives? Yes, that's exactly what we are going to do. Nobody is going to do anything about it. What can we do? Get some
angry Americans together and march in front of a building with picket signs chanting a few catchy lines in hopes that that will fix this country?
Seriously, what good does protesting do? I don't even know what we COULD do to ensure that our politicians are honest and constitutional. Threaten
them? Go Jared Loughner on them? No that will just get us thrown into jail. Maybe we can just move to Canada and hope for a better life, or form an
army and start a new civil war, or even take over a state and secede from the nation. But all of these are just ideas that will never happen, because
we're past the point of no return. We've let one too many unconstitutional acts and lies slip, so our government is becoming accustomed to
disrespecting the people that elected them.
What do you guys think, am I just a baby who is over-reacting to little events that really don't mean much in the grand scheme of all things, or do
you guys agree that the government is bullying the people around more and more, and that it needs to be stopped?
