Sorry for the slightly overdone title but in this case, it's well worth it!

I have spent over 6months collecting footage for this, I have shot approx 50.000 stills to choose from in making this video. A goal for me has been to try to preserve the real-time speed of the northern lights, or come as close as possible, and present it way I experienced it, instead of the northern lights just flashing over the sky in the blink of an eye. It may work on other time-lapse videos with skies and sunsets etc, but with the northern lights in focus, it should be presented in it's true speed to reflect her beauty, imo.

What can I say?

Beautiful!

Excellent video.
That's one place I'd like to visit in my lifetime.

Aurora Borealis always amazes me.

Would be interesting to find southern lights too.

Living in central Saskatchewan, we have the privilege of viewing the aurora fairly often, but rarely with so much color and clarity. We never get the yellows, purples and reds, only the greens and blues. When I was younger, I witnessed them so bright, it was almost frightening and the winter night was so cold and clear that you could faintly hear the electrical hum coming from the sky. This fellow says that this is his first video - it is indeed quite stunning and I thought that haunting music was soothing and appropriate. S&F

Thankyou for sharing chad. That was an AMAZING video. It's definitely a life's goal to get somewhere where I can view the lights, there are a few good pictures out there, but this video is the best i've ever seen! Can't believe it's the dude's first time too. Lucky, lucky man!
