Naming one of the most powerful ships in the Navy after Ronald Reagan is a fitting tribute to one of our greatest leaders.

This looks like a great carrrier. I am just wondering where the Navy is getting the F-14s to stalk the ship.

i think so, it's retarded, they are replacing a heavy fighter with a light multirole fighter/attack aircraft

The JSF is not ready yet. Also I saw photos of the CVN 76 with F-14s on it. I know they are starting to replace the F-14 with the F/A-18 E and F. I think all the F-14s are going to be replaced by 2008.

JSF project.......mainly the Lockheed Martin x-35 is in one of the testing phases still. And They will be replacing the f-14's. The f-14 tomcats were primarily made as a counter defense to longe range russian bombers such as the bear (tu-195 i think)
