I thought the same thing. I'd probably just toss the bottle and run, and the sad part is i don't think I'm kidding.

I thought it was sad.

I mean picking a bottle up off the floor? I see the whole point, to encourage recycling plastic and picking rubbish up off the floor but it was a little over the top.

All those people sat there waiting, imagine the man-power... Why not have them all do a 10 minute litter pick instead? Surely that would be a lot more productive and resourceful.

The whole thging is a propaganda stint. I don't read French, but the idea is obvious. They want to "educate" the public that plastic is bad, uses up Earth's resources, etc. I wonder how much energy was used to set this whole thing up and make it go? Wonder how many people drove to tyhe mall to do it?

I'd probably keep walking wondering why everyone was clapping.
