Is what they're wearing really sufficient for what they are doing? Looks like regular firefighting equipment to me.

Thanks for link, ,
even with those photos you could tell with the workers and their masks on that this is serious.
I did notice those photos were taken two days ago.
I wonder if those men are still alive today.

Indeed it's more of a humorous site rather than reliable news but the images are taken from the Associated Press.

Thanks, and to the OP..
I'm honestly tired of hearing conflicting stories about these reactors..
From what some say there is no way someone would be in there taking pics..
What are we to believe ??

Good call about the photographer. The truth is you wouldnt send in a photographer unless they were already one of the walking dead.
So who and what are we supposed to believe, well that is the million dollar question mate, and one that i cannot answer.

Thanks.
Those pictures seem to be coming from their security CCTV.

I cant believe in this day and age they dont have suits that block radiation. What are they sending in these guys with plastic ponchos and walmart dust masks?? This is completely rediculous. Dont have a nuclear plant unless you have developed a human suit that blocks radiation! DUH!

Yesterday I watched an episode of destination truth where the team went to Chernobyl which was still very radioactive, and they wore suits like that and limited their exposure.

I doubt Japan's reactors are much more radioactive than Chernobyl.

And Destination truth was just going there for kicks, to look for ghosts. According to them if you wear the suit, don't stay too long, and monitor for radioactivity to avoid the extremely hot spots, you can survive.

The last picture looks like a nuclear plant, but the earlier ones don't really show much.

Well if man really went to the moon, which means past the Van Allen Radiation Belt and out into the vast radioactivity of space, then we should be able to just borrow those astronauts suits from NASA and get the reactor workers to clean up while wearing the space suits and then everything will be ok.
But that's only if we had of went to the moon
