I would suspect it was done by HAARP. In the book/Video 'Angels don't play this HAARP', he and other scientists had speculated the effects of the haarp and what it could potentially do. The haarp is basically designed to 'research' the ionosphere using radio frequencies. They also believed that excessive use of that facility would 'blow a hole in the ionosphere', and guess what happened
It wouldn't surprise me if the collapse was triggered somewhere over Alaska.
