Israel predicts Iran will be able to produce their own nuclear weapon by 2007. Iran continues to deny such reports, and claim its atomic ambitions are limited to generating electricity.

Israeli estimates of when Iran will be able to build a nuclear bomb have been shifted two more years to 2007, an intelligence report said on Wednesday and analysts credited the delay to international scrutiny of Tehran.

The conventional wisdom is that Iran believes North Korea was not attacked because it has the bomb and Iraq was attacked because it did not have the bomb. Iran does not want to be attacked.
