Dude (or lady, whatever), my humble advice is to at least try Firefox. Under the Tools menu you can install several great add-ons, to wit:
addons.mozilla.org...
addons.mozilla.org...
addons.mozilla.org...
addons.mozilla.org... (not security-related, but badass nonetheless)
and
addons.mozilla.org...

You are most welcome. Opera is also a great browser, and if you care for the truly arcane, install Linux and use "links" or "lynx."

Terrible stuff, man. Only recommended due to my ridiculous level of inebriation.

in an inebriated state i stay away from all forms of machine excluding dvd/tv/music and fridge. pretty basic functions which don't hurt my head or facilitate my eagerness to make a bigger t*t out of myself.
thanks for the further info.

Good advice that I should take to heart. But, apparently, I'll post a response which doesn't even need to be posted and should be deleted because there is nothing of value here.
I will stop now. Sorry, ATS. Man, I'm drunk.

Use Hijack This, if you learn how to use this tool, it will take care of most browser hijack issues.

THERE ARE 2 KINDS OF HIJACK, ONE SIMPLY REROUTES YOUR HOMEPAGE, THE OTHER RE WRITES YOUR WIN INI FILE AND IF THAT HAPPENS, YOUR SCREWED, WINDOWS REINSTALL IS NEEDED.

LOOK.. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH OTHER AV AND SPYWARE CRAP OUT .... INSTALL

NOD32 AND BE DONE WITH IT... YOU WILL BE INVINCIBLE ..PERIOD,

ITS WHAT THE U.S MILITARY USES... THERE SIMPLY..IS NOTHING BETTER ANYWHERE...

GET IT.. NOD32 ...... AT WWW.FILEHIPPO.COM
