Reading the following story I immediately thought of the east coast compasses going weird.

Harp Seals From Canada Take a Liking to U.S. Waters
Published March 20, 2011
| Associated Press

Harp seals from Canada are showing up in U.S. waters in greater numbers and farther south than usual, and biologists want to know why.
"In some areas they're reporting three times the normal number of sightings," Garron said. "This year, we've had four sightings of adult harp seals in North Carolina, which we've never had before. We typically don't see them that far south."

There was another story about weather service alerts on booming noises on the east coast, weird stuff going on on the east coast

Good find ,add it to the ever growing list of strange happenings.
It's like one of those disaster movies when at the start of the movie people notice some weird things happening and then WHAM ,meteors start raining down .End Game.

I don't want to alarm anyone, but groups of animals exhibit unusual behaviour before earthquakes.

Just before the Christchurch, NZ, quake, a pod of whales stranded nearby.

Migratory birds and animals use a magnetic sense to find where they need to be, right?

True animal weirdness happens before a quake also.
