The leader of a group that marketed a fake currency called Liberty Dollars in the Asheville area and elsewhere has been found guilty by a federal jury of conspiracy against the government in a case of “domestic terrorism.”

What an incredible injustice this is. While the government continues to steal our wealth by forcing us to use an increasingly worthless currency due to thier inflation of it. Continues to rack up trillions in debt, drags us into more illegal wars, crashes our economy, bails out banksters by the billions, they claim this guy is a threat for minting silver coins and encouraging people to trade them... Sigh. The world has gone mad....

They are going to steal over 7 million in silver and metals from this guy too as forfeiture. This is outright theft and people still don't get it. We have been taken over by a criminal gang pure and simple and we do nothing...

Calling it domestic terrorism is a bit of a stretch at best..

You can expect much worse atrocities in the coming years from our wonderful elected and appointed leaders..

Many of these people are completely brainwashed to serve their masters (and not the American civilian population).. Just try telling one of them that they work for you and they will respond with utter contempt for you.

I always knew the patriot act would end up being abused like this... Witch hunts for any "undesirable" can now be crafted and funneled into "domestic terrorism"

Well I for one am gonna sleep much better tonight knowing this dangerous terrorist is behind bars. How dare he try to make money that`s worth something? All money is supposed to be worthless, otherwise we might actually have a chance to rebuild after the dollar collapses... That simply will not do. Chaos must be at a maximum. This maniac and his silver coins of evil must be stopped, I`m glad my taxes go to this sort of thing. It just makes me want to work that much harder. Next on the hitlist: The monopoly man! This criminal has been operating with impunity for nearly 100 years, he`s worse than Osama Bin Laden! Anyone in possession of monopoly money should be reported to Homeland Security and put on a watchlist if not detained at Guantanimo for an undisclosed amount of time... HECK, Using cash period should be a big red flag, fake or not. Everyone needs to just fix their credit and get right with the banks and get an account with a debit card like everyone else. Everybody`s doing it. Even if you owe the banks too much money you can now buy a visa card and put your money on it. Just remember not to purchase it or load it with cash. Figure out a way to do it electronically, so that all your actions can be tracked and logged into "the system". That way if you purchase too many cheech and chong movies, the friendly government can come to your aid by raiding your house, labelling you a terrorist, and incarcerating you until they feel like you have been rehabilitated. It can be a very theraputic experience. If you ever do get released, be sure to thank the staff for their time and dedication. You may be surprised to hear it, but they rarely get thanked for their hard work.

STATESVILLE, NC—Bernard von NotHaus, 67, was convicted today by a federal jury of making, possessing, and selling his own coins, announced Anne M. Tompkins, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina. Following an eight-day trial and less than two hours of deliberation, von NotHaus, the founder and monetary architect of a currency known as the Liberty Dollar, was found guilty by a jury in Statesville, North Carolina, of making coins resembling and similar to United States coins; of issuing, passing, selling, and possessing Liberty Dollar coins; of issuing and passing Liberty Dollar coins intended for use as current money; and of conspiracy against the United States.

(From the OP's source)

So, you guys think that trying to undermine this nation's economy is a good thing?

Even though the Constitution gives congress the authority to say who mints our curency, you all are fine with ignoring the Constitution?
