Out of tribute i will post the waves approaching the shore... only because i still beleive that the Nuclear distaster is still over-shadowing the real disaster and human death toll....

I would just like to point out that those sailors did not feel the "earth" quake that was felt onshore. Although they may have been informed of it, but, the tsunami hit less than 10 minutes (6 minutes I think) afterwards. So, these guys probably were shocked to see that wave.

Judging by the tone of the voices on the video, I thought I detected a realization of horror in their inflection.

That wasn't a "big" wave in any way.

Tsunamis don't produce high waves at sea, only when they reach the shore.

My stomach actually lurched as I watched that ... weird feeling.

The fact that we know how this concluded makes it all the more poignant.
