Oh good, so they're finally doing something productive to help out the civilians. Do you have any information on what exactly is going on with the third reactor?

Nice! S&F

No,there is no info I can find, but somebody knows something, just isn't being released.
Why else would they be demanding the government that immediate action.

Just curious... what sort of authority does the "CNIC" have? Are they privy to more specific information than we the public receive?

Just trying to get an idea of how serious/credible this request actually is.

The CNIC is an anti-nuclear public interest organization.
There main propuse is gathering info on nuclear power plants
via,raw data from accidents and scientific reports, amoung others sources.
Basically they just lobby and campaign, like that's gonna do any good.
They are in Japan,was 1975.
The Japanese government certified them as a Specified Nonprofit Corp.
in 1999 granting them legal corp. status.

Thanks for posting this. Fortunately, the US has already told people to evacuate 50 miles. But I feel so bad for the Japanese people because it looks like their govt may be even more dishonest with the people than ours.

You should be able to edit your first post to change the title.

So is this likely to be a demand on good basis or just scare mongering from an anti-nuke group?

Would be a major discredit to them if they are crying wolf without cause.

it just keeps getting worse and worse over there from the link

Tokyo (CNN) -- Officals were training workers Monday to spray the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant's stricken reactors with concrete -- one of several efforts underway to curb the release of more radioactive material.
and the at the bottom

The other five reactors, too, are in various states of disrepair -- all subject to intense efforts to avert full or partial meltdowns and the release of radioactive material.

The plant's No. 3 reactor has been a special concern, with a nuclear safety official estimating 1,170 tons of water between sprayed between roughly 9 p.m. Sunday to 4 a.m. Monday alone.

Earlier, officials said that they were monitoring that reactor to determine whether to release gas in order to reduce mounting pressure in the containment vessel. The pressure buildup, specifically from excess hydrogen gas, had caused explosions at that reactor and at the Nos. 1 and 2 reactors. Late last week, three holes apiece were drilled into the Nos. 5 and 6 reactors in order to alleviate pressure.
so now they say all six are at risk of melt down!!! wonder if they know what is really going on?
