Strong Earthquakes Increasing. Disrupting Planet's Magnetic Field?

One of the other things that geologists never seem to mention is that earth is honeycombed with gigantic underground gas chambers both under land masses and underwater. These chambers have smaller ducts that connect them that can at times become clogged which can cause a volcanic eruption either underwater or on land masses.

Maybe at some point in the past someone in power said don't mention those anymore; they don't have the need to know.

Further to that idea, a recent news report highlights the fact that many new quakes are on "unknown faults." Maybe they're newly created faults? ...Seems obvious we can't be mucking around like we do and NOT cause a fracture or two.

Size is not the only reason Kent says they are watching the swarm of quakes closely. The location of these quakes is on top of a fault that has until now remained unknown or has not been active. Kent then made an eerie comparison, "Whats really interesting about most of these earthquakes we've experienced. Short of the Chilean and Japanese; Haiti, Baha, even Christchurch.. Were on unknown faults.

and only 2 in the last 36 hours (normally there would have been 6)...

and no 6's in almost 5 days (normally 1 every 3 days)

Erm. Who else besides you said anything about predicting quakes?

...I'm on about a low frequency feedback loop and the various potential triggers including industrial activity like seismic testing, drilling and extraction - with the qualification that any quakes today will have a worse effect than historically because the planet's geophysical integrity has been greatly compromised over the past few decades;

PuterMan's hypothesis is that large earthquakes are NOT increasing - with the qualification that if they are it doesn't matter because only the total energy release per year is important.

The 6.6 EQ in the Kermadecs happened today at 13:03 UTC; antar's pic is from 13:22 UTC - it doesn't show much disruption in the field - but now, at 16:17 UTC the field is much more disrupted.

...What I've been observing is that the magnetic field often is more disrupted after a quake, between 2 - 14 hours. Which is why I think there's a feedback loop happening...

Take a deep look at the outer planets in our solar system, there have been EXtreme storms happening in the past year, if they are any indication to the weather wars our planet is in store for humanity may become extinct in the future.

So if magnetic resonance bounces back and forth then it would explain how it at some point attracts debris fields during certain down times for the protective natural shield right? Or at least when we see the storms on outer planets and then wham, they get hit by space debris.

I dont know, just thinking as above so below.

...There really are SO many factors - didn't find questioningall's old magnetosphere watch thread when I searched here, but pulled it on google this am - she has some GREAT info and research in there. ...ATS is chock full of super stuff but I forget where it is and sometimes, it's so hard to find!

Anyway - I'm thinking the breaches in the magnetosphere QA describes might have something to do with things like this - Ancient Interstellar Collision: May Help Explain Climate Change.

My hypothesis - earthquakes disrupt the planet's magnetosphere - may be borne out by recent research on the M9 Tohoku Earthquake. In any event, solar activity was definitely seen to trigger the quake. Thanks for the heads-up ElectricUniverse.

Atmosphere-Ionosphere Response to the M9 Tohoku Earthquake Revealed by Joined Satellite and Ground Observations.

...on March 8th a rapid increase of emitted infrared radiation was observed from the satellite data and an anomaly developed near the epicenter. The GPS/TEC data indicate an increase and variation in electron density reaching a maximum value on March 8. Starting on this day in the lower ionospheric there was also confirmed an abnormal TEC variation over the epicenter. From March 3-11 a large increase in electron concentration was recorded at all four Japanese ground based ionosondes, which return to normal after the main earthquake. We found a positive correlation between the atmospheric and ionospheric anomalies and the Tohoku earthquake.

the usga total # of "significant" quakes per calendar year does indicate around a roughly 10% increase from 2010 to 2011 but that could be random flux.



wonder how the whole of 2012 will factor? in guess we have to wait until the end of 2012 to see
