Japan... Before and After

I'm not sure if this has been posted, but I haven't seen it ANYWHERE. If it HAS been posted, I apologize. ABC's website has an interactive Before and After of several areas of Japan, and I thought everyone should see. It's absolutely heartbreaking, but really puts this disaster into perspective.

I feel the exact same way.. it's times like this I wish I were rich.. I would be POURING money into relief efforts. Unfortunately, donations aren't NEARLY what they should [ could ] be:

I've seen the other pictures, and read the numbers, but I really did not understand the scope of this at all until seeing THESE pictures. Just absolutely insane.

I think of all the little cities on the Oregon coast that I've been to, each of which is roughly the size of each one of those pictures, and to imagine all of them just GONE overnight is more than I can really comprehend. Just amazing (in a bad way of course)

Yeah. It's like I said, it's heartbreaking, but it REALLY helps put it into perspective.

ABC did this for the Brisbane floods too - Altho I live in Brisbane it was hard to work out how much damage there was until I saw the before and After shots - Kinda hit home after that

If you dig around you could perhaps find the shots.
