I made this thread for members who are worried about radiation fallout if we in the US had a nuclear plant disaster.
How close is your home to a nuclear power plant?
If a crisis at a nuclear reactor happened in the U.S., could you be living in a danger zone? In a 10-mile radius, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission
says the air could be unsafe to breathe in the event of a major catastrophe. In 50 miles, food and water supplies may be unsafe.
I'm good,unless the wind comes from the south.
All we have around here is good old fashioned coal plants.
I'd take greenhouse gases and smoke anyday over nuclear fallout!
While it is a pretty good general map, I feel it is just that.
You have to take into account wind speed and direction during the time of crisis. I feel that the radius would be very different during Santa Ana
winds that we have here in So. Cal
