BIG SUR (CBS/AP) — Engineers on Thursday were working to figure out when they’ll be able to reopen a stretch of California coastal highway that collapsed into the ocean, blocking traffic to the scenic Big Sur region

Is this normal for California? How come this did not catch anyone's attention. This came straight from the video and then I looked it up on google.

Wow what a strange world we live in. This sort of thing has never happened here. Of course we live no where near the ocean.
