President Bush signed a bill to develop and stockpile vaccines and othe antidotes to biological and chemical weapons.

cnn.com...

The legislation provides the drug industy with incentives to research and develop bioterrism counter measures. The bill also speeds up the approval process and allow goverment to distribute certain treatment before being approved by the FDA.

What exactly does that last line mean and under what circumstances can they do this? Is this an open ended law allowing drug experimentation?

Don't be surprised to learn once if becomes law that a tiny section of small print stipulates that these vaccinations, at the discretion of the US dictatorship, will become mandatory.

Refuse to get stuck with a needle and you're now a terrorist!

What a sad state of affairs the USA is becoming.

More and more of a police state with each and every day and yet, it goes on unhindered.

I do agree that more of our freedom is being eroded daily. But, ask yourself this, who is to blame? 9-11 changed everything and we are no longer isolated from the rest of the world. So...that is the state in which we find ourselves in. Just remember to duck and cover when the bomb is dropped on the city nearest to you.

FDA is run by big Pharmaceuticals. Bypassing it has very little meaning.
You do know that the FDA is funded mostly by private companies and only partially by the US government, don't you? How dependable can ANYTHING they report be. There are all sorts of stories about cooked data and failures to report all side effects of new drugs. Whistle blowers are treated very harshly there.

If the FDA says it, don't believe it. They failed to inform people of the high levels of mercury found in tuna. They are quite worthless.
