The Shakaden, headquarters of the Reiyukai Buddhist organization, remains shuttered and impassive.
Life goes on: A woman sells a bento to a passer-by. There seems to be plenty of food.

Roppongi crossing, about 30 min. past noon. Quieter than usual, but the big stores and offices are open. Lots of people were wearing cotton masks,
which is not uncommon in Tokyo anyway, but it made me wonder about the public mood.
Tokyo's finest. The police can stretch the accordian barrier across the road to shut off traffic if need be. This particular unit is often posted at
that particular corner in times of unease because of its proximity to the Russian embassy, a favorite target of Far-Right Japanese groups.
