Pretty neat find. Good map I must say.
To some extent I was like "wow", but then my brain chimed in and said "DUHHH" how could we expect anything to not be controlled even a little.

I just hate how our copyright laws give our government the right to interfere with our freedom on the internet.

Nothing is free, we live in the illusion of freedom and thats how TPTB want to keep us. BLIND AND IGNORENT.

Ignorence endangers, as long as people continue to become aware we can do something about it.

Damn wish I lived in a no censorship zone I guess it doesn't really matter I probably wouldn't notice. Just glad the US isn't as bad as some other countries I suppose.

Exactly. It's not as bad as some other countries.

Consider yourself lucky.

My only complaint is that the website does not address disinformation sites or anything that can mislead people concerning certain information, especially government cover-ups.

Interesting, but there's censorship, and there's censorship.

There is a vast difference between the UK's censorship of the internet, which comprises compelling ISPs to filter out child porn (surely a worthwhile endeavour) and nations like China or Iran who are rather more proactive in controlling the internet for political reasons.

The reason why half of Africa has no censorship is because there is a lack of coherent internet access across that bighted continent. Essentially, the poorer nations don't censor because very few people have internet access.

The liberal democracies all impose some form of censorship, like the UK. The autocratic, single-party, dictatorships etc who need to keep the population controlled apply a different level of politically motivated censorship and monitoring.

I have children. I welcome a degree of filtering. There are things that children should not accidently see and there's evil f**kers who exploit the vulnerable and need to be proactively hunted and exposed.

Regards

some board mods will edit or remove posts, not sure if there is any other reason than the posts violated the terms of that board

but echelon is watching every single form of electronic communication. they say they are looking for terror plots, but I'm sure it gets abused

Are you so sure about that? The fact is the British government DOES censor things it does not want you to see, and not just child porn, for example take a look at the video below, only if you are in the UK you can't...

Besides it is not just the censoring, it is the monitoring that is just as insidious, everything you type, every page you visit, every message you send or received, all kept because lets face it, every single person in the world is a terrorist, well except for a few distinguished families and politicians of course...
