Iran today boasted that it has built the world’s first flying saucer.

Called the Zohal - or Saturn in English - it said the unmanned spaceship is designed for 'aerial imaging' but added it can be used for 'various missions'.

'It is equipped with autopilot, image stabiliser and GPS and has a separate system for aerial recording with full HD quality!'

Well this is going to be interesting.

Not only do we have to sort the hoaxes from the real UFO sightings, but now we're going to have to eliminate this little beauty from any possible sightings of ET craft.

We always suspected and often said things like "it's one of ours", but who'd have thought it would be Iranian.

Can't wait to see some clips of it in action.

No details of things like it's flying altitude and the most interesting feature, it's propulsion system. How frustrating.

Great post. I love the fact that Iran can press on with a strong scientific research and development programme in the face of current worldwide pressures. Science should be all countries main focus.

Iran creates a flying saucer? More like Iran just got themselves set up to be invaded for intelligence!
You all know the USA is gonna jump on this ASAP.

But maybe not, because we probably have better vessels with 28 inch rims and golden grills!

Wait for the Americans to come into this thread and start to deride and ridicule it, before we've even seen it.

Very interesting anyway.

Love this quote

American naval forces in the Persian Gulf have yet to come across a 'super-modern' radar-evading flying boat Iran claimed to have tested four years ago.

Good for them. Maybe the U.S, will be forced to show just what we've been doing behind closed doors as well.
That thought is actually rather scary.

Looks like a Coanda Effect surveillance drone:

Coanda Effect - Wikipedia

I wonder about the specifics of its propulsion, size, range & aerobatic abilities, though.
