CIA Contractor Freed for Blood Money?

CIA contractor Raymond Davis was arrested in Pakistan for shooting and killing 2 men he said were "robbing him". The U.S. of coarse demanded he be released because he had diplomatic immunity but Pakistani officals demanded he be tried.

Good thing there's a neverending supply of tax payer money

Pakistani officials had suggested that a "blood money" payment was the best solution to the situation and there had been speculation that such a deal was in the works.

Davis was turned over to U.S. consulate officials after the hearing.

Sounds like a good deal . They get to save face and we get our guy back . Nothing we don't do every day in Afghanistan . Kill some guy , maybe by accident and the family gets paid .
