Me and my family are about to go on a week long trip to Arizona, and I told my son how clear the night sky would be out in the desert. He got pretty excited since he is obsessed about the universe. But after talking for a bit I found out he's more excited at the chance of maybe seeing some UFO's since you can see so much more of the sky there than you can here. My question seems silly, but are there any ATS'ers from Arizona that might know of any "hotspots" for UFO activity? Or even just meteor showers! Can you see falling stars on a nightly bases? Thanks to anyone who might have some tips on where we could go for the best experience.

By the way...we will be camping near the Superstition Mts. if that helps.

Well, I'm about 8 hours north of Tempe and the night sky here is pretty darn clear.
We can't see all the constellations here but on a clear night the milky way is visible.

And yes, shooting stars are very common.

Sedona Arizona. Look it up. Vortex's, UFO's etc. Beautiful, Mysterious

I used to have the Superstition Mountains almost in my backyard!

The only downfall for "skywatching" in the area is the ridiculously high amount of air traffic. Sedona is supposed to be a hot spot, but I never got to visit.
