9:19 a.m. ET Thursday, 10:19 p.m. Thursday in Tokyo] Aftershocks of magnitudes 5.6 and 5.9 shook the east coast of Japan's main island of Honshu on Thursday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

I believe this is the 6th earthquake to occur there over a 5.0 magnitude. Plates must still be shifting.

Are you serious? I heard the aftershocks were averaging 6.0+ once the earthquake has hit! It's pretty crazy!

I'm very curious. Looking for more sources and/or explaination of weeks of aftershocks.

I'm sorry but your belief is wrong.
Check this link: earthquake.usgs.gov...
You can easily see there has been a lot more than 6 earthquakes above 5.0

Unless i entirely read that wrong.

And aftershocks can last years after the initial earthquake.

just download earthquake 3d to see whats going on around the planet in real time,by the way only a guess but perhaps as much as 20 percent are not being loaded onto the program///////weird and the volcanic activity sure is up as well.carpenter44
