LOL

Actually a zombie type virus is not that far from being plausible, im not talking about dead people coming to live and behaving like Zombies, but people alive behaving like zombie is very possible, all it takes is a mutation of a virus similar to the "mad cow" disease and there u go, u have zombies, ppl acting crazy and eating when their need to eat, if i see something like that walkingaround, i would definitely say "that is a #ing zombie!"

Also when TSHTF, for survive u must see this video, zombieland rules:

My initial reaction reading this thread was a bit similar to some views already expressed along the lines of 'this is an idiotic thread and an insult to the Japanese in their terrible times'.

I've got to admit it though, you have a got a point, and a really good one, if Zombies actually were real (which ofc they aren't) then wow this would be the ideal ground for them, 1000s of bodies buried in and under mixed rubble with nuclear radiation thrown in on top sure sounds like the beggining of a Zombie flick.

The Rage virus could, theoretically, be pretty real. Imagine a radiation-altered form of the Rabies virus. Since most "zombie" viruses use this idea as a base, it's not too far off. Aggression, madness, etc. are part of rabies, as are trying to bite others. It's also almost 100% effective, which is almost unheard of, meaning that if untreated, nearly 100% of people could die from it. Once it advances to the final stage, there have only been a handful of people who survived (less than I can count on both hands, if I recall).

Of course, what most of these movies forget, is that there is another part of Rabies that could make for a great defense. Hydrophobia...a fear of water. So, a hose or sprinkler just may end up being your best defense!

My hunch is that this stew of rot, disease, chemicals, biological agents, and nuclear fallout will mutate viruses into some mutant form of rabies, and then people will get infected, and the Zombie Apocalypse begins.

According to the zombie survival guide, in recorded attacks. Japan had zombies at their disposal during the World war II, look for operation black dragon aka operation Cherry Blossom. What if they kept some of those zombies and they escaped during the earthquake? Not very likely but not impossible. So don't be very surprised if you hear about people being attacked and getting eaten or when a person have been to the head, the thing that can kill a zombie, a shot or blow to the head.

And about that the zombies being better controlled in Japan. Forget it, they don't require oxygen, so they can walk the ocean floors, so they can walk to china or all the way to the states.

Good point you made,,, for proof of a zombie cover up, look for footage of headwounds. There are plenty of sick grotesque sites out there that record death photos.

Haha I know that zombies do not need oxygen, they do not breathe! Yes they can walk the ocean floors... Hopefully, like in my dreamworld, the military contain the outbreak by putting walls down to the ocean floor. It all depends on if it suddenly takes on overnight, or if its a slow spread. Also depends on if it is a blood virus....
--> Remember that simpsons episode?
If it is like a tick or a flesh eating virus that actually sits on the skin or like a tick gets into the mind, or if its controlled by manipulating brainwaves......... There are no walls that could stop the spread as long as trading has continued up to the point of news of outbreak...
***** Im thinking that the key to outliving zombies when presented with them in mass proportions is with frequencies......Blow their freakin minds out

Good point man, ultrasound weapon i guess the guy should edit his book and ad that weapon in the list.

Well one thing for sure, just in case I am adding a Katana to my home collection along with my AK47, and loooooots of bullets, and perhaps a Dragunov would come in handy.

One thing thought with underwater walls, i dont think that would be so effective though as if we have a tide can lift them up and there you go like super Mario Bros they "fly" over the wall.

Just to add my own two cents, and correct me if I'm wrong. But didn't World War Z have the zombie pandemic start in Asia? I believe it was China. But still. Japan is close lol
Although what's happened in Japan is very sad and devastating, this thread has brought around an interesting twist. Not necessarily comedy...but an interesting read, nonetheless.
Good on you, OP. You should write a book, a comic...something. Of course, once this has died down, and people won't be so offended by the idea...and if we're still around to read it.

I think this scenario will defiantly be made into a movie when all this is in the past.

Cant wait for that one!

Oh, and the countless computer games. Of course, set at the US embassy so as to not upset anyone.

I do not understand how silly zombie threads proliferate on this website. What a shame. This really takes the credibility of this website down many notches. Deny Ignorance, do not proliferate it!

Apart from actually being completely plausible, you only have to look at the forum name and what it consists of to understand how silly your reply is.

How can this thread bring the credibility of ATS down many notches when its in the forum as follows:

ATS Skunk Works: Readers and users should be aware that extreme theories without corroboration are embraced in this forum.

*Giggles* If it is so silly and your so against silly threads why did you come here. There is something inside your mind that you have had since birth, it is your greatest defence against the harshness of truth and the provider or joy in hard times... Its called the imagination!!!!!

Sounds like an interesting story, however, I highly doubt it!

Chernobyl didn't create zombies so I don't think Fukushima will either ...

However, a storyline nonetheless for a good horror/thriller flick!

Sure about that?Chernobyl was not an island.Plus the latest is the CDC warning for the Zombie Apocalypse..Interesting none the less.

I think it's ludicrous that this site is supposed to be for open-minded exploration & discussion, but there are so many close-minded dolts who refuse to think outside the box. "Zombies are impossible" is like someone 100 years ago saying fax machines or cell phones are impossible. Not many things are genuinely impossible. Scientific groups have been researching those "zombie" ants for decades. The government has been searching for ways to make soldiers who feel no pain for decades. Do you ignorant people actually think that there is no possible way for science to find a way to create something that keeps moving once it is "dead"? Or that there is no way for them to create a virus similar to the Rage virus that just takes over your brain so the only thoughts are to kill, destroy, eat, etc? The people who claim zombies are impossible aren't saying so because it is genuinely impossible, but because they refuse to look at what is REALLY possible & choose to focus on what already exists. Just because we may not have personally seen it happen doesn't mean it could absolutely, positively never happen.

People who aren't willing to be suspicious & think of things that MIGHT be or COULD happen probably shouldn't be on a conspiracy website. Just saying.
