Wow. i'm in New Brunswick and haven't heard a thing. 4.6 seems pretty high for what we are used to in the region, hope they update that story soon.

Crazy

We had a 5.0 last summer near the same spot. It didn't do much and this one I didn't even feel. I am a good distance away but the last one at least had my fridge shaking.

There certainly isn't much info on that source page. I am leaving it up in case we need a screen capture of it.

There is nothing on RSOE EDIS about it?

USGS has this one on their site earthquake.usgs.gov...

USGS states mag 3.7, not 4.7 CBC reports.

Didn't feel it on Southern Ontario

I felt a small rumble around that time, not sure if they were related, but definitely something seismic going on around here.

I'm in Ottawa and did not feel a thing.....Those coordinates give Hawkesbury Ontario, on the other side of the river from Mirabel Quebec.

I think when the Mods made the Japan forum they should have just made an Earthquake forum instead.

If we are going to get a thread for every quake there is ATS is going to run out of server space.

There has been some odd earth quake, they are turning up in places you don't see very often. there was one in the middle of africa a couple of days ago.

I checked my usgs app on my iPhone.
It shows a 3.7 at depth 0.0. How could there not be any depth to a quake? Do they happen on top of the ground?
