Magnitude 6.0 earthquake hits eastern Japan

(Reuters) - A magnitude 6.0 earthquake shook eastern Japan on Tuesday, one of the most powerful aftershocks to hit the country since Friday's devastating earthquake and tsunami which killed at least 10,000 people, public broadcaster NHK said. The quake could be felt in Tokyo where buildings swayed.

a good way to keep an eye on it is to go to

Then enter the coordinates (LAT, LON) into Google Earth for the exact location of the quake.

the quake you mention was closer to Tokyo, but im not sure if it means anything.

there was a thread earlier on ATS explaining the quake zone around japan. while tokyo might be up for a big one from a different fault line...this latest aftershock of 6.0 mag is very near to tokyo..
