EST 9:37pm, Anyone in Eastern Ontario go outside right now and look up at the moon, there is a massive PERFECT circle around it, a huge cloud like circle (RING) about 100 times larger than the moon, what is interesting is that there are planes Making straight lines through it, I tried taking a picture but my sonycamera isnt good enough to take night time pictures!

WOW! what kind of natural phenomena are we seeing? They are not clouds as the ring has not moved one single bit yet.

They're indicative of precipitation.
Line two is rain.

Very, very cool, but nothing Alien or Supernatural. An atmospheric phenomenon, and like most atmospheric phenomena, gorgeous.

(Well, of course, if D&D-esque magic is real, then I'm sure it has some supernatural properties. Rituals you can only perform beneath a moonhalo or something.)

Some old guy once told me that a ring around the moon means it will rain in 3 days. Watch if it rains in 3 days.

Pretty neat if you ask me, I have never seen one, and I look up into the nighttime sky every night!

It is still light out where I am and I can see the moon perfectly, but no rings.

It's an amazing sight, isn't it! We get them a lot here.

i recently saw my first, in 38 years, "Sunbow" the other day - just the same, a rainbow coloured ring, but around the sun - complete with my first "Sundog" too! Although I had known about them previously from pictures in books.

Here in the UK, the folklore around them states that the larger it is, the more chance of frost in the morning.

No I did not. Strangely enough on October 14th when Blossom Goodchild predicted some major contact, I had made it a point to at least give the sky a fair gaze. To my surprise I had seen this around the moon. Made my day.
I did try taking pictures but it just did not show up in my photographs.
I found these online.
