Telling him he should just take off and not do what is being advised by officialls there is not a good thing to do, IMO.
Bullcrap, that place is about to turn into a living hell OP, run while you still can. You're already probably receiving more radiation than they are letting on. You can do what you want, you are your own person, where you go is ultimately up to you.

EDIT:
@OP - I just read you are going home soon? So I assume you're waiting for safe radiation levels before being allowed to leave?

Hey iAnjo
"there but for the grace of god go I"
we all feel it
the planet has grown so small
there is no them any more
only us

the pTB won't get that till it is to late, they have built most of their reactors on fault lines
on major water flows....

best wishes
Dan

How long would you want your x ray? I say this because you are receiving a steady dose, and lvls will rise. Talk to whoever is in charge, moving to a safer location is crucial to your health. All of you should work together to acomplish this asap. Going outside now would give you a greater risk untill far enough away, but I think it would be better then waiting... I wish I could be of some real help to you... Best wishes for you all...

I will be keeping you in my prayers until you tell us you are safe. I agree that staying indoors is the safest thing for you to do until you are told it's okay to leave. Please keep us updated on how you are doing, many of us do care!

The stay indoors order is because there is contamination out side the building
the building will protect you from that to a certain extent..
a couple feet of dirt.. a few inches of concrete or steel...
this will protect you some what...

keep in mind that official sources often lie
the government said the pornscanners where safe but wouldn't release the test results..
then we find that the numbers are TEN times as high as they said.

They can't cover up something that gets really big.

We need to balance our fears with common sense and rational thinking.

If radiation levels reach a certain level, people will get sick quickly and start dropping all around.

If people are not sick yet, there is still time left to make adequate strategies to work a way out of the hot zone.

The government can downplay things Some, to an Extent. But they cannot cover up reality for very long.

Let's be reasonable here.

I just want to say that I am so sorry what happened and is happening, the pain I feel for what occurred there in Japan has me up all night, I cant sleep, thinking of all the suffering going on there, of people who lost their loved ones, I don't have much money but I did donate and hope it gets to the country, I just wish I could be there, I love the entire world but there are certain places on the planet I hold dearest and Japan is one of them, I love you guys, stay strong!, I know you all have the power and courage to pull through this, May God and the angels protect your country, blessings.

P.S. I am praying hard as much as I can that the radiation is kept to a minimum, I know it can be done because miracles happen, its fact, I have seen it and I believe in it, much love.

Thats what I don't get, they say its only an X-Ray. The difference between this and and Xray is that an Xray takes a second on 2 and this is constant. Do they think people are retarded? Jeez.

A sievert is a measure of dosage, not a measure of radiation intensity. So the comparison with an x-ray is probably fair, though I've no idea how they are measuring dosage near a reactor.

I can not imagine what you must be feeling. Please try to stay focused and calm, and I hope that you will get some news at school today.

Let us know how you are doing, if you can. I am sending positive vibrations your way. Peace.

For the heck of it I checked to see if there were any seats on flights leaving Tokyo.

I was surprised to see all airlines had seats. Sure you will pay a couple thousand, but I would be paying it right now.

But that's just me.

It's amazing that even the Original Poster's school teachers are starting to panic, yet they're all being kept there at the school. Is Japan one of those societies where authorities tell people what to do, but don't tell them why? This student and his teachers are all being held captive and not being told why. amazing..and sad. I'd use that friend's I-phone to call my mom/dad and ask them to come get me!

Yes, but strong radiation will penetrate the building...if he doesn't make a move, it could mean he's left with no options in the end, but to be a sitting duck. I feel trapping yourself inside your house isn't going to do F all in reality. I mean lets get real people, if a large scale melt down happens, people hiding in their homes will be killed. It's bad advice, telling them to evacuate is far more reliable.

I looked it up on Google Earth and if I got it right looks to be near 160 miles from the reactors.
Best of wishes going to all of you over there.

Certainly a bunch of Earthquake markers there. Perhaps I should have removed them so you could see the area better.
