Everyday after I got home from school I would come home to my mom and grandma sitting on the couch folding laundry and watching the daily soaps. The characters that were portrayed 10 years ago are still being used today in the same shows....

This boggles my mind, how the hell are you going to use the same actors for 10 years and not even develop the plot even a little. It's like the only way to keep the story fresh is by having somebody kidnapped every other episode just to stall the plot because the writers are a bunch of fat Fabio fans.

They don't want to let go of the sexual tension between characters because it'll take away from the "lust" factor and bring upon the plot and when the plot comes there has to be an end in sight.

So everyone have fun watching the same love triangles develop over and over again in a never-ending spiral of hormones and Viagra until the end of time...or television, which ever comes sooner.

LOL they are soap operas, wtf did you expect? They are written for your grandmother, and it shows. But let me hip you to something friend, TV sucks, not just daytime, all of it. It sucks, and sucks the will to live right out of your skull.

I didn't realize they had gone that far. I remember when they would not show Jeannie's belly button, or boobs and now they are showing oral sex on the screen?

Next they will show them having sex. Ooops, they already do!

This is the truth too. I can watch almost any stupid programming on television but for me it is the commercials, especially the drug commercials pushing all sorts of chemicals on unsuspecting old people and junk food to children and the car insurance ones make me want to puke. Absolutely hate them. I remember when television could afford itself. The commercials were much fewer and farther between and they were not unethical grabs for consumer dollars no matter what the cost to society or price to the human. Now that is ALL there is. Very insulting, transparent and shameful.

I would suggest you get netflix. I am thinking of doing that myself.

This is a rant, I'll rant about whatever the hell I want.

How about I get real mad at a select few members on the forums and then I'll follow them around complaining about things that don't relate to me?

Would that make you happy?

To be honest, I wasn't expecting anything really. There isn't much I can do about it, I just wanted to point out the fact that after 10 years of the same show, they still have the same characters doing the same mundane sh!t.

I wonder if the housewives have gotten fed up with it yet.

If you ever run across CSPAN or CNN Stock Exchange on television you'll see an abundance of insurance commercials, it's actually kind of a challenge to see if I can hold down my lunch while watching them.

My favorite commercial to be sick to is the one about Fidelity Insurance where it shows a bunch of overly proud grunts talking about how they'll be there with you no matter what and how they'll help you retire at 65 so you can finally start to live.

It's funny to me because I know that these people are payed actors and probably don't work for the company.
