I tried reading only the suggestive phrases in the text. This is what you pull from it if you look at only those phrases:

"Feel it. Look out the window. Go to bed. Cling on to this brief moment. Hunker down. Wait until it's safe."

Overall the text has a fairly negative tone. Could this actually be trying to suggest that people be depressed and scared?

I don't know...kinda interesting if you ask me. What do some of you think? anything else you can pull from this?

It's not having a depressive tone., it's just making fun of the fact it's still March and traditionally, there are still cloudy days until spring and summer kick in unless you go south of the planet where the sun is.

I think I cracked it but I'll post my deciphering in the other thread.

As I said on the other thread I have emailed Comedy Central but I'm still waiting for a reply from them and johngtr has emailed someone who has the same text on their blog to ask them where they got it from.

The channel is owned by Paramount UK Partnership but there is no email address for them.

Someone put a photo of text on Comedy Central's facebook before these threads and asked about it but they had no replies.

Seems they are staying quiet about it.

We don't know if the op of the other thread emailed channel 4 about the one he saw.

the thought would be that these are the first teaser adverts in a series of what will eventually reveal itself to be an ad campaign. I'm sure we will see an explanation for it that is so mundane it'll really pis you off. Have you seen those strange Old Spice commercials where they actually tell you that they're trying to sell you something? Trends in advertising have certainly taken a surreal turn in the past five years or so.
The only way I would get worried is if we eventually just stop seeing them and receive no explanation. Then you know that it was something secret!

I am only asking as The day after you posted it it appeared on the t.v. for half a second. with three words from it highlighted in red.

I have more examples of this and i will be glad to show you a link to my proof after you respond if you wish.

So yeah, im just VERY curious as to where you got the passage/paragraph of text from?

Last monday and it was definitly comedy centeal.
Its just a cynical joke that points out a flaw in modern society.
It has no greater meaning.

So he said he saw it on T.V last Monday. Meaning the Monday that was 7/3/2011 as that was the day he posted it onto his blog.

So i think our OP is a day off on this one, and he posted the wrong channel quote - " channel 4 or more 4 " ( we all make mistakes in the detail, i have done it before and ill most likely do it again ).

So i believe that it was ONLY on comedy central, not Channel 4 or More 4.

So it has nothing to do with them only comedy Central.

Still a nice catch by the OP for getting a shot of it,although i think some of the details may of been wrong - had me searching channel 4 and more 4 pages and links for ages.

Either that or "mrjackers" wrote it for the TV station
