Just so you know, the oral board ( i applied years ago and made it to the oral board portion of the exam ) is mainly scenario based questions, to establish your thought process and to allow the board a chance into your psyche. They wanna figure out how you go about problem solving. They do ask personal questions, but only allows for the board to get a " feel " for your mental state. It is quite fair and balanced across the board.

People that are qualified for a position should get the position. My problem is people are just seeing race and not the obvious baiting.

Dayton isn't concerned about "being fair" to minorities. Why? Because no city is really.They is just throwing out the same red meat for the far right extremists that have ethnophobia. The evil dark skinned people are stealing your water routine. Work pretty well on people that use their emotions to make decisions.

The elite love people that make critical decisions on emotion. They are easily manipulated.

They knew you were going to be upset and planned this act accordingly.

Why dont they just ask the white guys how they cheated?

1% of the Police and firefighters are black, while 14% of the dayton population is.

There is a disconnect, but it appears to be in applications, not scores.

The DOJ should fund a campaign to encourage more minorities to apply if it has issue, not lower scores.

Maybe the lack of applicants is because most of the percentage of blacks there in dayton are already behind bars? I dunno?

Those who chime in eagerly to drive this to a white vs. black thing while ignoring the fact that blacks in the community also disagree with lowering scores and that the NAACP also disagrees with lowering scores are not being honest in the discussion.

The demand came from DOJ, which IS run by a proven racist. This shows black favoritism coming from the highest levels of government.

That's the sole basis of argument that I and the OP are trying to establish. The very thought that there would be those who wish to vouch for such an act is baffling? To lower that standard of testing requirements, then have those on ATS defend these actions by using " racism " as there sole basis of argument is laughable at best. Yeah they are, they loose federal funding if they don't hire enough blacks. They have their quota of Hispanics and Asians, they just need a few blacks to make ends meet. Only, the blacks couldn't seem to pass the test that everyone else could.

Sounds like a race issue to me. Blacks cannot pass the test, everyone else could, so the city had to lower the scores in order to accept some blacks that otherwise failed but are needed to fill the quota.

Would the number of blacks in prison soothe your need for evidence?

How about violent crime stats which show blacks commit exponentially more violent crimes per capita than any other race.
