The Knesset’s Immigration, Absorption and Public Diplomacy Committee will hold a hearing on the activities of left-wing American lobby J Street as early as next week, committee chairman Danny Danon (Likud) said Wednesday.

The Knesset plenum voted Wednesday in favor of holding a hearing on the group’s activities at the conclusion of a debate on the subject sponsored by MK Otniel Schneller (Kadima).

The Conspiracy: Attempt by the Knesset to ensure all Jews worldwide "stay on message" with regard to matters related to Israel and positions taken by Israel. Thus creating a fifth column.

The fact of the matter is, that J Street is a lobby of American Jews, created as an alternative to AIPAC. AIPAC already receives all of its positions directly from the Israeli government. American Jews wanting to remain Jews and at the same time wanting to hold positions beneficial to their American citizenship need this alternative.

The Knesset is not willing for American Jews to consider American first as a legitimate attitude for American Jews; demanding rather that they vary not one inch from established Israel policy. In other words a Fifth Column within the United States.

Yes, Israel needs to discriminately appeal to Jewish people worldwide in an attempt to gather more support for their racist and apocalyptic assaults on all neighboring Arabs.


I don't even know where to begin addressing how wrong this is. I thought blatant propaganda campaigns were generally frowned upon? Why wouldn't racist ones be doubly so? Is it double-think, or people afraid of being called "anti-semitic"?

The position I'm taking on this is a proprietary stance: "The American born Jews are Americans, just like me. They're my people, not the property of some foreign government." It is an abuse of Americans for some foreign government to attempt to tell them what to believe or how to act with regards to American foreign policy.

In other words: Follow the dictate from Israel no matter the country of your citizenship.

What exactly was the "sheer hatred" that J Street showed toward the State of Israel?
1) They favor a "two state solution."
2) They opposed the US sanctions against Iran.
3) They opposed the US veto at the UN against illegal settlements.

For this they are "more terrible than...Israel's worst enemies."

...I had time to think about Masada. It stands out as a symbol in Jewish history – a symbol of heroism, but also a symbol of extremism, of the Jewish tragedy of the loss of independence and of the heavy price the Jewish people pay when they split into sects.

Nachman Shai brings up the specter of Masada when speaking of the worldwide struggle against delegitimization. He warns of sectarianism. Masada was the last holdout against the Romans during the Jewish insurrection. It was inhabited by a very extreme group of zealots known as Sicarii, so extreme that they had been "expelled from Jerusalem by the Jewish population with whom the Sicarii were in conflict shortly before the destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple."(en.wikipedia.org...)

Josephus does not record any attempts by the Sicarii to counterattack the besiegers during this process, a significant difference from his accounts of other sieges against Jewish fortresses. He did record their raid before the siege on Ein-Gedi, a nearby Jewish settlement, where the Sicarii allegedly killed 700 of its inhabitants.

Whether he means to imply that the attack on J Street is similar to the Sicarii slaughter of Ein-Gedi isn't completely clear. What is clear is that any exertion of influence should be one way, from Israel to world Jewry. Never should Jews work within and for the benefit of their natural born countries, but rather for the so-called Jewish State of Israel.

My recommendation would be then: If forced to choose between loyalty to the foreign state of Israel or to the land of your birth, choose the land of your birth.
