Glowing red star in the sky?

I live in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada. We have a bright huge full moon tonight. I actually just came in from taking a hike for 2hrs and staring at this one star right by the moon. It's bright red right now. Then I looked around and counted three other red stars as well. I've never seen them before. Honestly, I pay attention to the stars up here. Get them nice and clear. I love it. But I'm going to read all the comments now because I want to know what they are as well lol

Hey yea ive noticed an oddly bright red star in the sky and i too look at the night sky alot and have really never notice it till now which is odd and im in New Zealand! (note that there are more little red stars its just this one looks bigger and closer)

Without anymore info I'm gonna say you've seen Betelgeuse !

It looks red to me
