If your one claim to fame is being a member of ATS I truly feel sorry for you and all you have missed in life.

I guess you're going to be feeling sorry for a lot of us then.

I couldn't agree with your sentiments more.
Seems to me that some live and breath ATS while some see the site as an interesting pastime...
ATS has great members and deals with some amazingly diverse subjects but does the site define who I am? I'm afraid not...

Wow Slayer VERY nice job. I can appreciate the hours upon hours of work that went into that. Thanks for the 15 frames of fame. I'm honored to be in such good company.

On behalf of all of us please accept this for your toil:

"We are ATS"

The members, define the site.

Semantics. Sometimes, it does make a difference.

Ah, the members may well define the site but does that necessarily equate to the site defining the member!?
I have no doubt that some members do live and breath ATS, and there's nothing wrong with that, but some of us don't and fortunately/unfortunately, depending on my mood, I am not one of them.

Yeah, it's simple English sentence structure. In the sentence "We are ATS", "We" is the subject, ATS the object, and "are", the act of being, the verb transiting the two. It means that "We" define what "ATS" is, not "ATS" defines who "We" are. As a matter of fact, for anyone with a reasonable grasp on the English language, it CAN NOT be read in the second way.

Anyone who could possibly attempt to equate the two different understandings either hasn't got a firm grasp of the English language, OR has some sort of agenda to promote, and is trying to employ a form of Orwellian "Newspeak".
