The news report I just heard said 700 mph. But that it is the undercurrents which are going to be the most dangerous and for people to take this seriously.

I am locked out of my facebook account, the only way to contact my family!!!x

Antar hang strong, I AM PREYING WITH YOU FRIEND

Fox is saying they are telling the people near the Nuclear Power Plants I guess in Japan to get out and to get out NOW

Is there anything new on that whirlpool that picture was very disturbing and they aren't talking about it I never saw or heard of anything like that before
Antar WHY WOULD YOU BE LOCKED OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT

They are saying Nuclear Power Plant at State of Emergency and telling people to stay at least two miles away and indoors They are trying to cool the water they just say if it didn't work it could create a melt down wow keep getting different stories.

That was, in deed, a oil refinery plant that exploded....the one shown in the video a couple of pages ago. Here is a still image, courtesy of CNN.

The caption under the picture reads: "Firefighters battle a blaze at an oil refinery in Chiba prefecture near Tokyo."

I didn't know they could be aftershocks if they're all from different locations.

That's how Fox does it... they were talking about evacuations at the nuke plant, which did happen earlier, but were showing the explosions at the petro plant (nowhere near each other). Both stories are over an hour or more old now.

from what I understand theyre all located in the same area where the plates are moving and theyre all considered part of the same seismological event, the 8.9 quake area shown on the maps is the epicenter

We saw this phenomenon with Diego Garcia during the 2004 quake. While individual islands got decimated this island remained unharmed due to its underwater topography. Tsunami's need a gradual enslope to build up, while sudden islands rising out the sea *may* escape the worst of the wave.
