This seems to be the latest quake from what I can see at the moment.

The frequency is decreasing. Check out this map, set it for 5+, and scroll the timeline at the top. You can clearly see that, although still very active, things have calmed down since the initial quake.

Judging from the history, that volcano blows out every two years on average, and the last time was in 2009, so I think this is a normal event.

After having a 8.9 or no matter how much it is in the end, which tilts Earth's axis and moves Japan 8 feet I think to count this out as coincidence is a stretch, no? Not saying it's the other way around for sure, but with something this big it's not a smart move to consider anything that is connected to seismology one way or another just a coincidence in the next few days/weeks.

I sure see the possibility of that connection, my point is, that volcano was going to go anyways around this time, if you watch it´s history,
