6.6 earthquake, off the east coast of Honshu, Japan. Mar 13 10:26am at epicenter (11m ago, 164km ESE of Mito, depth 1km). j.mp...

DEPTH 1KM

Wow, that's weird... the rest were all 15-30 km deep...
Some geologist here to explain?

Yeah I noticed that on GEE as well.. I have noticed though that when one of these goes off real close or actually over the faultline off the coast it is alot shallower in depth.

Definitely shows there is serious activity at the plate juncture points.

Before you chastise someone be sure to look to see if they posted literally at the same time.....seriously. Lighten up. It'll be okay if the same info appears twice in this thread (God forbid).....Sorry, just a pretty rude comment considering the state of the world right now.

Something just crossed my mind....has anyone seen any live footage of the Nuclear Plants since that explosion, and if not why not? I know I haven't.

Where are we anyway, last I heard one is confirmed in meltdown process whilst 6 cores are now at risk. Is taht where we all are? Thankyou

I thought this was an update thread?

GullibleUnderlord is updating, whats the problem??????
As I asked was that last one 132 the depth or distance?

Just noticed they changed the depth of that 6.2 to 24.5 km.

It does take them a few minutes to accurately review the data.

That is much better than 1 km deep.

I just wish Japan could have 5 minutes...just 5 stinkin' minutes....where everything was calm.....this is unreal....so much happening all at one time, what, 3 days AFTER THE FACT? Amazing to me how little attention everyone I've talked to is giving to this situation...it's been on my mind since I heard the first reports of an earthquake....no matter what I think about I wind up right back to Japan...eager to hear something good.
