I thought it was a funny article. We get relished with liberal slanting almost to the point of believing its false facts as truth. Why can't
celebrities see that if they don't agree with the people and make outlandish statements they are going to get boo'd and they may lose support. Wake
up Dixie Chicks, Woopie Goldberg and others.

Wow!
After several weeks of movie viewings, guest appearances and media coverage, they finally find a group of brainwashed neanderthals that boo'd.
It was such a "big story" (it being the first time and all) that it got coverage.
Yep.
I guess that makes all those evil liberal liars look stupid.

I'm not meaning to incite you, or anything, but why does being a liberal make you evil? Or were you just speaking about one group of liberals, i.e.
those of us who are evil?
I don't consider myself completely Left-wing, but I am certainly left-of-center. I'm just wondering if that makes me evil. I think your comment was
rather uncalled for, Gools.

It's funny how those who disagree with Michael Moore-on are, "a group of brainwashed neanderthals", where as those who agree must be, "enlightened
intelectual thinkers", by your logic, eh?
Guess it's in the eye of the beholder, because I'd put you in with that first group....

Read another article this morning on it, seems like it was only 1/4 of the audience that booed and left. I guess 3 out of 4 had no problem with it.

Ignorance is calling someone whose views do not agree with you "Brainwashed Neanderthals". I dislike the way the left thinks, but I know not all of
them are idiots. Just the majority .
Anyway, good for them. Its about time some people stood up against a propoganda piece and told it how it is. Left-Wing celebs IMHO, hell celebs of all
politcal agendas should stay out of it. They are not political commentators, like O'Reilly or Colmes. They are to entertain us, not say hwo much they
hate Bush. Do that in an interview not on a show.

Yeah I'm amazed to find out that I'm a brainwashed neanderthal, wow. That's something new to me...
I love the double standards, hypocrisy, etc that comes from both the left and the right. But in this case, the poster is apparently left so this time
it's from the left. Oh well...

If I got boo'ed by the people that go and see musicians like Linda Ronstadt I would actually feel quite honored!
You know, those types of people are not exactly the brightest bunch.

Just a liitle note.
When conservatives are called " Nazis, brownshirts, thugs..." there is a piling on mentality, "ya right on."
When liberals are called stupid names it is " Hey that's not fair."
Good for the goose...

Actually, I believe the smiley face in instances like this is just used to make it seem like a joke, when it isn't at all...an insult is an insult, a
lie is a lie, regardless of the "face" one tries to put on it....

Oook, brouga. Ook, oook, brugh, ula brooo. sa kuya *grunt* ?
I know exactly what you mean. I may have to get me some little cool graphic to insert into threads that I feel need a Double Standard Alert, (or DSA
since we are all so fond of those 3 letter acronyms).

There is alot of hypocrisy. Someone boors Moore, its hell on earth, but if Whoopi goes and gets drunk, and spews vulgar comments about Bush during a
show, thats ok. If someone booed Bush or any Republican for that matter its ok, but if its Moore, that untouchable fat guy, its wrong.

Heh heh.
It's amazing how people love to take things out of context, generalize and then label people. Also amazing is how many fail to grasp the finer points
of things such as sarcasm.
I do believe that anyone who boos or cheers in a movie theater is less than bright. I NEVER said anything about conservatives in general or people who
disagreed with the Moore movie, only about the crowd at that particular showing.
You may be surprised to know that I do not think that highly of Moore, but he has his place in society and the political discourse now polarising the
world.
So please, read carefully, avoid generalisations and don't slap a label on me.
I for one do not subscribe to joining "a side" and taking the "you're either with me or against me" mentality. That's for ingorant children.

Well, Michael Moore has weighed in on the Linda Ronstadt controversy.
Open Letter to Bill Timmins, President Aladdin Casino and Hotel
Rather than quote the letter, I suggest you go read it. I think this whole incident has been blown way out of proportion. About 4500 people attended
the concert. It's unclear how many people walked out. Some news reports say hundreds. If 400 or 500 people walked out, that's 10% of the
audience. Yet they created sufficient disturbance that the rest of the audience couldn't hear the rest of the concert. The people who didn't like
Linda's remarks certainly have the right of free speech, but in my opinion they are abusing their free speech rights when they create such a
disturbance that the concert cannot go on.
I also think Mr. Timmins overreacted. Was it really necessary to have her escorted from the premises and refuse her access to her suite? Wouldn't
it have been sufficient to tell her to remove her property from her room and hit the road?

Yeah, well I'm just waiting for the "other side" of the story to be made into a multimillion dollar motion picture. Maybe instead of a documentary
style film, it could be an epic adventure starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as God and Hillary Clinton as Satan, and George W. Bush as Jesus W. Christ.
Anyway, the point is: propaganda or not, Fahrenheit 9/11 is based on facts, and however biased it is, it's founded by facts. I think it would be a
much harder task finding enough true evidence to serve as a foundation for a conservative, pro-Bush version of Fahrenheit 9/11.
