reading through the HBGary emails i stumbled upon this convo

convo about ANON

if you scroll down to "Julian Goodspeak February 5 at 10:33pm" you will see

"yeah your in a transition period though and I am not sure how your going to work through it. The group is growing up to some extent so you need to hold to your principles but you need people like BB and other to help the group. Managing anons PR has to be considered...the purists aren't going to get that... and your going to have to loose some for the betterment of the group...fact of life. But how u do that is the touchy thing."

Could BB be this Barrett Brown guy?

Assuming these emails are real of course.

Wonder if they would accept a list of places to go after and see what kind dirt they can pull out. My short list would be.

Wallstreet
Bank of America
JP Morgan...

Heck with it, I'll do it the easy way. Every bank that took a bailout would be my starting point.

Too bad they are the government pretending to be hackers just to start a false flag campaign here.

They want to shut down or regulate the internet and this is their vehicle.

Anon has no leadership...supposedly.

However, Anon does have founders. The founders are already known to athourities, and Anon (as any group would) would take a severe morale hit if the founders were rounded up and detained.

Would that stop Anon? No.

Would it leave Anon open for retribution? Yes.

The biggest problem Anon would face if the founders were detained, would be a vengence attack by other Anon. Deeds done in vengence tend to lack finesse (the vast majority of the time) and that lack of finesse would leave the door open for all sorts of fun tracking and round up times.

Anon should be very careful right now. The US gov is looking for an excuse, to the point of fabricating one (this instance IMHO). They are trying to draw an enemy out...don't be that enemy.

Best thing Anon could do right now is nothing. No response, no denial, no claims, no nothing. Governments do not like when they do something and the response is nothing...they are very similar to school yard bullies that way.

So now any idiot that claims to represent Anon speaks for anon on authority?? Anon is a lot of things but is nowhere near organized enough to have anyone to truly represent them. A group of a few friends tries a failed raid against some servers and all of the sudden "Anon is at war with -insert name-". Some high school kid makes a video while wearing a Guy Fawkes mask and its the new Anon manifesto.

When Anon actually organizes against something everyone knows about it.

Is this the reason why ATS was down a few nights ago?

Then Michelle Malkin's site was down about a day later and then one day after that, gmail was down.

What gives?

The amount of blind trust people have in Anon really baffles me. Is it because they're hackers, which automatically turns 'em into "cool and stylish" ?

The porn...

i saw them on a popular website recruiting people.
Personally i hold the website that allows them to recruit as liable as the hackers them self.

Breaking the law is a CRIME.
if we support people breaking the law when it suit's your agenda..
What is next?

It just isnt right.

Anon needs to target banks instead of NYSE, in my opinion. As some have alluded to, website attacks don't seem to pack a punch but I think paypal, visa and MC would argue that point. Online banking is huge and the threat to banks for this attack vector could be devastating, short term though. Love 'em or hate 'em, Anon is a force to be recognized.

I was talking with Barret Brown today and he said that he never said that he is the "leader of Anonymous" or nor he is a senior member.

Well he has operator status on some chans but not all, he is even barely known in other chans other than those chans he frequents.

And I don't think he would be considered anonymous since we already know his face and his name.

Bi-winning?

The documents indicate that Bank of America improperly foreclosed on several homes during the height of the financial crisis in 2008 that began one of the worst recessions since the great depression.
The report came from a former employee with Balboa Insurance — a risk management and insurance firm. The employee reportedly corresponded with Bank of America employees and was told to falsify loan numbers on documents to force Bank of America to foreclose on homeowners.

I dont care what any of you say, this sickens me, and BOA had it coming.
