Surfing the apocolypse is like rense.com or any other conspiracy
site that takes stories from other journalistic sites and publishes
that info on it's site.

No one can make you believe anything if you don't
want to..........do what you will with the info.

I'm not saying I don't believe it, but I am not saying that I do either. Sorry. I also know that the media doesn't report everything and/or report accurately. It's a good "heads up" though. Thanks

The news story showed up on Yahoo news with a different twist. It seems that house fires are common in Egypt this time of year, and the fire investigators have determined that the Usual Suspects (kerosene stoves, bad circuits) are to blame.

news.yahoo.com.../nm/20040718/od_uk_nm/oukoe_odd_fire_1

They blame "flaming pigeons" (no, REALLY! Would I lie??) for some of the fires:

Investigations have shown that there are burnt pigeons on top of some of the burnt houses and it's probable that they fell there after catching fire at other houses," he said. "Maybe that explains the rumours of balls of fire falling from the sky."

And therein lies a moral. The people are not as well educated as the United States and other countries and have long been held under a gridlock of religion. It's easy for them to think "flaming meteor" when one of us here in the "first world" would think "oh man... bird! fire! That's ugly!"

I really don't blame them for thinking that. There have been a lot of fireballs lately and with all that is going on over there, they are probably praying for the Lord to come - looking for signs. Anyways, you don't always see birds ablaze falling from the sky
