Insurgents in Iraq continue their assault on Iraqi police to show their disgust for people aligned with America and the new Iraqi government.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A suicide car bombing near a police station in south Baghdad has killed at least nine people and wounded 60, Iraqi Ministry of Health officials say.

Earlier, a police source said three officers and five civilians were killed after the blast struck the Al-Dora police station in southern Baghdad's Al-A'alam district at 8:20 a.m. (0420 GMT) on Monday.

It left a crater about 10 feet (3 meters) deep.
