A local Walmart was closed because an employee "found white powder" in a management office. I haven't heard any other stories that could be attributed to J.N.'s "if you see something say something" campaign at Walmart stores but I have a feeling this might have had a hand in this incident.

Just after 5:30 this evening an employee discovered a suspicious white powdery substance on a box in the management area of the Walmart supercenter in Florence. The walmart was closed shortly threreafter. The super center was evacuated and Florence Police Department was contacted. Florence PD brought in the Colbert County Hazmat Team, and they tested the substance and found it was not harmful. The walmart opened back up around 8:30p.m.

Customers inside the store are being allowed to leave if they want, but no one is allowed inside the store. The parking lot has also been evacuated. All roads around Walmart are backed up witih traffic. There are reports that all cash registers have been cordoned off.

This link gives a little more info stating that the white powder was found on money and also references another incident in our area (not involving Walmart) with a power substance found.

Does anyone know of any other local incidents like this in their area? This was in Florence, AL.

Can you *imagine* how the employees of these stores manage with having to listen to this for their entire shift? It is brainwashing at it's finest, let alone what it does to the shoppers!

I imagine after some period of time, people think they simply just block it out, but I can tell you, that is simply not the case.

They hear, even if subconsciously, this stuff reply over, and over, and over.

What a fantastic waste of time, money, effort, police, and mental masturbation this is.

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- The Kirksville Walmart store was locked down for a period of time Wednesday afternoon, after police received a report of an armed man in the parking lot threatening to harm himself.

(snip)

The vehicle was approached by police and the driver was detained. It was determined by officers that there was nothing of a criminal nature.

No other details are being released at this time.

There is like 200 products Walmart sells that come in the form of white powder. A box probably got busted up and the manager was holding on to it, to lecture to his employees with it as a demonstration. Also Walmart uses this magic powder(which is white) for cleaning spills. Whoever reported the white powder. Likely had an IQ of 30 or less.

Someone should've contacted store management before calling law enforcement.

Seriously, this is how terrorism occurs as this is terrorism, all to cause chaos or loss of life or property.

The Friday Night Cranks show is quite good as they have a YouTube page featuring the shows but what parent in their right mind would get done shopping, go to the register, get everything rang up, pay, load up cart again, return to car, load up car, drive off and get home to realize you are missing a kid. Whoever is that dumb and careless should not be allowed to breed.

If they sell muriatic acid all someone has to do is open 2 gallons of that and pour it all over the floor and guess what, you've got yourself a very real gas attack which could cause someone to die.
