Was listening to AJ earlier and heard this guy Mark Dice on the show, who has a book named Big Brother - The Orwellian Nightmare Come True.

This really hits home with me... im mid 20s and never heard of the book 1984 by George Orwell until about 3-4 months ago, I finally picked it up at a local book store, im about 170 pages through it and its so scary true how much is really in our real life, and on the horizon as well. I also started highlighting quotes that pertain to the world we live in today, and my highlighter about died already.

One thing that sticks out at me from the book is...

WAR IS PEACE

FREEDOM IS SLAVERY

IGNORANCE IS STENGTH

And thats exactly what has been pounded in everybodys head, most dont even realize it... TPTB are using 1984 as a blueprint on how to control us. WE ARE LIVING IN 1984!!! My parents and everybody in their age group that ive talked to, had to read 1984 in high school, yet I have never heard of it until just recently... I wish my school would have "made" us read this book, then we(the newer generations) could have atleast seen this coming along time ago, so we could have stopped this plan in motion.

Here are the 3 clips

My generation (your parent's) did read 1984. Then 1984 was still in the future and was taken by most of my generation as nothing more than fiction. As 1984 drew near, the true nature of our political situation was not as apparent as it is today. The only people warning about where we were heading were far left(labeled commies and socialists), and extreme far right who were just called crazy.

For the most part conservatives were happy. We had Reagan in the White House saying all the things the right liked to hear. Smaller government. Cut taxes. Deregulate. Trust big business. But he didn't make government smaller and he raised taxes. What he also did was to take decades of precaution in the form of federal regulations on big business and toss them out the door paving the way for the banking failures and corporate strangle hold on our country today.

Some of us saw Reagan for what he was. An amiable sort with years of camera experience in movies and skill at selling product to the American people. We saw him as the friendly mask covering the true face of Big Brother.

Take this view as you will. I and many like me were and will still be called crazy for this. It is an issue I no longer find to be worth arguing .

You should be able to pick up the symbolism easily.
