The U.S. Army has changed their physical fitness test. The test had been the same for over thirty years. Now instead of sit ups and push ups the
soldiers will do "combat type" drills. Does this mean that the U.S. is guaranteed to be at war for many more years?
Instead of push-ups soldiers will now be required to drag a bag that weighs 180 pounds to simulate dragging a combat casualty.
Instead of sit ups the soldiers will now be doing a 100 yard ammo can shuffle sprint.
Instead of a two mile run soldiers will now do a 400 meter sprint with full gear and weapon.
I think these changes are good, because they actually test the soldiers on some very important skills that will save other soldiers lives.
